FAQ – Event Security

How many security staff do I need for my event?

Rule of thumb in the DACH region: 1 member of staff per 100 guests for standard events, 1 per 50 guests for alcohol-focused events or where there is a potential for conflict. Significantly more for VIP events or political events. We recommend a bespoke risk assessment.

Do we need to inform the police?

For events open to the public, this is usually the case – whether a permit is required depends on the canton and municipality. We can assist you in liaising with the relevant authorities and, if required, provide the safety plan for submission.

Have your staff been trained in how to deal with guests who are under the influence of alcohol or who are aggressive?

Yes – de-escalation is at the heart of our training. Our staff resolve conflicts primarily through verbal means, using clear, calm communication. Physical intervention is always a last resort and is only permitted within the framework of Swiss self-defence law.

How short notice can you take on an event?

For events with up to around 200 guests, this is usually within 48 hours. For large-scale events, we recommend a lead time of at least two weeks to ensure the concept is properly developed.

Do you also provide traffic marshals for the journey here and a valet parking service?

Yes – see our Traffic Service. We coordinate both areas from a single point of contact, including the parking guidance system.

How much does a security service for an event cost?

Day shifts on weekdays are significantly cheaper than night shifts, weekend shifts and shifts on public holidays. The exact cost depends on staffing levels, the number of hours and any special requirements. We provide a transparent quote within 24 hours.
